What we handle
Take one service or all six. Pricing depends on your situation, so every quote starts with a free consultation rather than a menu.
Personal taxes
Tax filing demands precision, a working knowledge of rules that change every year, and more time than most people have. We take that off your hands — guiding you through the compliance side, checking the return against your documents, and making sure you claim what you are entitled to.
If a figure depends on a judgement call, you will be told what the call was and why, before anything is filed. It is your signature on the return.
What's included
- Federal Form 1040 and all supporting schedules
- State returns for any state — including multi-state and part-year residency
- Self-employment and 1099 income (Schedule C)
- Rental property income (Schedule E)
- Investment, retirement and capital gain reporting
- Credits including education, child and dependent care
- Amended returns (Form 1040-X) where a correction is needed
- Electronic filing, with a copy retained for your records
Business taxes
The business return and the owners' personal returns are one problem, not two. We prepare them together so the K-1s, basis and owner compensation agree across both instead of contradicting each other.
If you are not certain your current entity type still fits how the business actually operates, that is a conversation worth having before the next filing rather than after it.
What's included
- Sole proprietor and single-member LLC (Schedule C)
- Partnership and multi-member LLC returns (Form 1065)
- S-corporation returns (Form 1120-S)
- Corporation returns (Form 1120)
- Schedule K-1 prepared for every owner
- Quarterly payroll returns (Form 941) and annual filings
- State and entity filings wherever your business is registered
- Owner compensation and distribution review
Bookkeeping
Every business is different, so packages are tailored to your transaction volume, complexity and reporting needs rather than sold in fixed tiers. Regular financial reports give you a full view of the health of the business — not a guess you correct in April.
Books that have fallen behind are a normal starting point, not a problem. Catch-up work is quoted separately and clearly before it begins.
What's included
- Transaction recording
- General ledger maintenance
- Bank and credit card reconciliations
- Balance sheets and income statements
- Customised financial reports
- Financial analysis and insights
- Catch-up and cleanup of prior periods
- Year-end books closed and handed to the tax return
ITIN applications
An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number is a tax processing number issued by the IRS to people who are not eligible for a Social Security Number but still have United States tax filing obligations.
We are an ITIN Acceptance Agent, so the application is prepared and submitted here rather than left for you to work out alone.
Important: an ITIN does not authorise work in the United States and does not create eligibility for Social Security benefits. It is strictly for tax purposes.
What's included
- Form W-7 prepared and submitted
- Supporting documents checked before anything is sent
- The tax return that must accompany the application
- ITIN renewals for numbers that have expired
- ITINs for spouses and dependents
- Follow-up if the IRS comes back with questions
Starting a business
Starting out is exciting and genuinely confusing — there is a lot to get right in the first few weeks, and some of it is expensive to fix later. We walk you through the whole sequence and handle the filings.
Getting the books set up properly at the start is the part people skip. It is also the part that saves the most money later.
What's included
- Deciding which business structure suits you
- Registering the business with your state
- Obtaining the licences you need
- Applying for your EIN with the IRS
- Setting up your finances
- Opening a business bank account
- Setting up bookkeeping and accounting systems
Notary public
Documents notarised on site, usually while you wait. You do not need to be a tax client — anyone can come in.
Call the office before you set off so we can confirm someone is available when you arrive, particularly on Saturday mornings.
Good to know
- Bring valid, unexpired photo identification
- Do not sign the document beforehand — sign it in front of the notary
- All signers need to be present at the same time
- Call ahead so we can be sure a notary is available
Before you call
How much does it cost?
Pricing depends on your situation — for bookkeeping, on transaction volume, complexity and what reporting you need; for returns, on which forms and schedules apply. That is exactly what the free consultation establishes, and you get a quote before any work starts.
I have not filed in several years. Can you help?
Yes, and it is one of the most common reasons people call. We work out which years are genuinely required, pull your IRS transcripts so missing W-2s and 1099s are not a dead end, and prepare the years in order.
Do I have to come to the office?
Not necessarily. You can upload your documents securely from home, and we handle the rest by phone and email. Some things — notarisation and certain ITIN steps — do need you in person.
How do I get my documents to you safely?
Use the secure upload page rather than email. Anything with a Social Security number, a bank account number or a full statement on it should never sit in an inbox. You can also bring paper copies to the office.
Do I need to live near you?
No. We work with clients all over the country — from New Hampshire to Florida. Documents come in through the secure upload page, meetings happen by phone or video, and returns are filed electronically. Distance changes nothing about the work.
Most of our clients are in Massachusetts and Rhode Island simply because the office is on Taunton Avenue in Seekonk, minutes from the line — so if you want to sit across a desk from us, you can.
Which states can you file in?
Any of them. We prepare federal returns plus state returns wherever you have a filing requirement, including multi-state, part-year residency, and the work-in-one-state-live-in-another situations that trip people up when they move or work remotely.
Can you amend a return someone else prepared?
Yes. We review the return as filed, identify what is actually wrong, and prepare Form 1040-X with a clear explanation of every line that changed and why.
Not sure which of these you need?
That is what the free consultation is for. Describe the situation and you will get a straight answer about what needs doing — including if the answer is "less than you think".
